Under Whose Authority?

We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. — 2 Corinthians 10:5

The word evaluation feels harsh. It’s like a sterile bit of truth right in our face after a nap that was cut short. It brings to mind thoughts of school testing, midyear employee reviews, and clipboards.

While it may feel uncomfortable, the truth is there’s nothing wrong with doing a self-evaluation from time to time, to make sure our thoughts are lining up with God’s. The enemy has had way too much to say when it comes to how we reflect, view, and dream for our lives. Can I get an AMEN?

The truth is that God is eager, hopeful, and absolutely amped about our future.

When we choose to participate in the gift of life we become mountain-movers in a world of doubt and confusion.

Our inability? He is able.

Our shortcomings? He has them covered.

Our distractions? He will refocus us.

Our personality? His character never changes.

Our thought life? He will purify us.

Our hearts? He is transforming us.

Our emotions? He is redirecting us to truth.

Our unbelief? His faithfulness will lift us.

The way to operate in our God-given authority is to reframe our perspective based on Him, not on us.

I love you, my friends.

You Got This!

When we feel the even the smallest amount of uncertainty, we can whisper authority and know where we stand.
