Manage Your Thoughts

As a single footstep does not make a path, so a single thought does not make a pathway in the mind. To make a physical path, we must walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kinds of thoughts we wish to develop our lives. — Henry David Thoreau

Whether we think we are successful or unsuccessful, we are equally correct. The Bible says it this way, “What a man (or woman) thinks in his heart, so he is.” Our thoughts can literally shape our reality. They act as drivers spurring us in a certain direction. Our mind is an incredibly powerful place.

PUT IT INTO ACTION:

Consciously Think Positively

— What we focus on expands.

— Be conscious of every thought, is it helpful or hurtful?

— When thoughts are negative, examine them clearly. Are they something to act upon, or simply worry or fear?

— When needing to move forward from negative thoughts intentionally reframe them to a positive position.
